Welcome! My name is Neil and I’m the Principal Photographer and CEO of Neil Photography, LLC.

I am deeply passionate about many things in my life, one of which is Photography – an art form I slowly delved into as a teen, playing around with my aunt’s Pentax and my Dad’s Minolta SLR bodies. The delays from developing the film and anxiously waiting the results of my adventurous shots was nerve-racking – my mother would take me to our local camera store every weekend or so to develop film, and I remember tearing into the pictures before she even paid for them at the counter. It was a part of my growing artistic expression, and my family nurtured it well.
Digital photography changed everything, but unfortunately came at a time when I was flat broke (ie college and then graduate school), so I enjoyed my 7 mega-pixel Casio Exilim up until when my wife got me a Nikon D40x as an engagement present. My passion combined with my business side, and I formed Neil Photography (unofficially, as I incorporated a few years later). I maintain my skills through frequent seminars and workshops offered through professional associations and local photography institutes (I am member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals and the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International association).
This blog, because of the diversity and expansiveness of my interests, is simply a vignette into what piques my artistic eye – so you’ll see everything from photo shoots of models to car races, family events, international travel, and episodic rants about products I love and hate.
